A notice displayed on tables across the canteen informed patrons about the situation. According to the message, the canteen management expressed regret that due to the unavailability of LPG cylinders, it is unable to prepare and serve main course items for the time being.

Until gas supplies return to normal, the canteen will continue offering items that do not require cooking gas. Customers can still order lighter options including sandwiches, salads and fruit chaat, which are currently the only refreshments available.

The government has also prioritised LPG supplies for households and key non-domestic sectors such as hospitals and educational institutions. In addition, natural gas distribution has been rationed to ensure priority for piped household supply, vehicles using CNG and facilities producing cooking gas.
The rationing measures were announced after disruptions to liquefied natural gas shipments through the Strait of Hormuz caused by the ongoing regional conflict raised concerns over fuel availability.
