The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has temporarily closed 16 metro stations across the national capital on Wednesday due to heightened security arrangements for the ongoing NEET paper leak protests. Traffic restrictions have also been put in place in several parts of central Delhi as police remain on high alert.
Which Delhi Metro Stations Are Closed Today?
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said the following 16 metro stations have been closed until further notice:

•   Rajiv Chowk
•   Patel Chowk
•   Ramakrishna Ashram Marg
•   Barakhambha Road
•   Supreme Court
•   Seva Teerth
•   Janpath
•   Mandi House
•   Central Secretariat
•   ITO
•   Delhi Gate
•   Indraprastha
•   Khan Market
•   Jor Bagh
•   Shivaji Stadium
Service Update
Below mentioned Metro stations have been closed till further instructions. However, Interchange facility shall remain available at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat.

Is Interchange Facility Available?
Yes. Although these stations have been closed for entry and exit, interchange services remain available at:
•   Rajiv Chowk
•   Mandi House
•   Central Secretariat
Passengers can change metro lines at these stations but cannot enter or exit the premises.
Why Have Metro Stations Been Closed?
The stations have been closed due to enhanced security arrangements following protests over the NEET paper leak in Delhi. Authorities have taken the precautionary step to manage large crowds and maintain law and order in central Delhi.
Where Has Security Been Increased?
Delhi Police has deployed additional security personnel across several sensitive locations, including:
•   Connaught Place
•   Jantar Mantar
•   Parliament Street
•   Rafi Marg
•   Other parts of Lutyens’ Delhi
Apart from Delhi Police, paramilitary forces, anti-riot units, quick reaction teams and reserve personnel have also been deployed. CCTV surveillance has been intensified, and barricades have been placed at several strategic locations.
Will Traffic Be Affected?
Yes. Delhi Police has warned that traffic restrictions and diversions may be imposed around:
•   Connaught Place
•   Jantar Mantar
•   Parliament Street
•   Rafi Marg
•   Nearby central Delhi roads
The restrictions will depend on the movement of protesters during the day.
