Traffic movement across several parts of Delhi-NCR is likely to remain slow on Tuesday as the Kanwar Yatra reaches its peak ahead of Sawan Shivratri. Commuters travelling through Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad may face congestion, diversions and lane restrictions as large numbers of Kanwariyas head towards Shiva temples for jalabhishek.
Traffic police in the affected areas have advised commuters to plan their journeys in advance, avoid unnecessary travel during peak hours and use alternative routes wherever possible.
Which Delhi-NCR Routes Are Likely To Face Traffic Jams?
Kalindi Kunj-Noida-Delhi Border: Traffic is expected to remain heavy along the Kalindi Kunj corridor due to Kanwariya movement and regular traffic. Commuters travelling through Sarita Vihar, Jasola and areas of Noida near the Delhi border may face delays.
DND Flyway: The DND Flyway could see slower traffic, particularly during morning and evening peak hours, as commuters and diverted vehicles use the key Delhi-Noida link.
Ashram-Mathura Road-Badarpur: Traffic restrictions associated with the Kanwar Yatra may affect Ashram Chowk, Mathura Road and the Badarpur stretch, impacting commuters travelling between Delhi, South Delhi and Faridabad.
Noida-Greater Noida roads: Roads connecting Noida, Greater Noida and the Delhi border may experience increased traffic as diversions push vehicles towards alternate corridors.
Delhi-Faridabad routes: Mathura Road and stretches around the Badarpur Border are likely to remain sensitive to congestion during the Sawan Shivratri rush.

• Expect intermittent diversions near Kanwar camps, temples and major congregation points.
Commuters should also remain alert for last-minute traffic restrictions as authorities manage the movement of Kanwariyas and regular vehicular traffic.
