Delhi-NCR residents are expected to continue facing hot and humid weather on Saturday as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Yellow Alert for the next two days. While light rain is possible in some areas, significant relief from the heat is likely only after Sunday. Although the monsoon has reached Delhi, a temporary break in rainfall has allowed heat and humidity to increase again. The combination of strong sunshine, warm nights and high moisture levels has made weather conditions uncomfortable across Delhi-NCR.

According to the IMD, the sky will remain generally cloudy on Saturday, July 18. Some parts of Delhi may receive light to very light rain during the morning or early afternoon. Winds are expected to blow at 20–30 kmph, with gusts reaching 40 kmph. Despite the possibility of rain, hot and humid conditions are expected to continue in several areas.
The India Meteorological Department has issued a Yellow Alert for July 18 and July 19. The department has warned that heat and humidity are likely to continue over the next two days before weather conditions begin improving.

The IMD said there is no major change expected in maximum temperatures over the next 24 hours. However, temperatures could drop by 4-6 degrees Celsius after Sunday, bringing some relief from the current hot and humid weather.

Friday recorded one of the warmest July nights in recent years. The minimum temperature settled at 31°C, which was 3.8 degrees above normal, making it the hottest July night in Delhi in the last five years. The maximum temperature reached 38.8°C. During the last 24 hours, minimum temperatures across Delhi ranged between 26°C and 31°C, while maximum temperatures remained between 37°C and 39°C.
