Delhi Weather Update: IMD’s Recent Forecast
Delhi recently experienced massive rain and winds likely after an intense heatwave that rippled through the city. The monsoon brought about a much needed drop in temperatures for Delhiites.
Now, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Delhi NCR, which indicates a high likelihood of thunderstorms, accompanied by lightning and squall winds. Expect waterlogged roads, uprooted trees and travel disruptions, especially for those who have flights.
Delhi Weather Update: Will Heavy Rain Linger?
Yes, Delhiites can expect heavy rain with thunderstorms for today as well. But from the second half, the stormy conditions will likely start to ease. “Rainfall and occasional thunderstorm activity will be reduced with effect from afternoon/evening of 10.07.2026”, the IMD stated.
