The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rainfall in regions of the National Capital, bringing a wave of relief for the residents. However, on the other hand, they have also warned of a gradual increase in temperature in the next 48 hours. Delhi has seen a gradual fall in temperature over the last 10 days, mostly due to rainfall and thunderstorm conditions.
IMD Weather Prediction for Delhi: June 3; Chances of Rain Today?
Delhi is expected to witness partly cloudy skies throughout the day on June 3, with weather conditions remaining favourable for intermittent pre-monsoon activity. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast the possibility of very light rain or drizzle in isolated parts of the city, particularly during the evening and night hours. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning may develop as cloud cover increases later in the day. Strong surface winds are also likely, with speeds reaching 40–50 kmph and gusts touching up to 60 kmph in some areas. These conditions could bring temporary relief from the prevailing heat, although residents should remain cautious of sudden weather changes, reduced visibility, and brief disruptions caused by gusty winds and thunderstorm activity.

Maximum Temperature: The maximum temperature for Delhi, as per IMD, is 37.7 Degrees Celsius. It is 1.4 Degrees Celsius more than the previous day (June 2)
Minimum Temperature: The maximum temperature for Delhi, as per IMD, is 27.4 Degrees Celsius. It is 0.6 Degrees Celsius more than the previous day (June 2)
IMD Prediction for Next Few Days
According to the IMD forecast, Delhi-NCR is expected to experience an spell of pre-monsoon weather between June 4 and June 7, with rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds likely to keep temperatures in check.
However, they have also predicted a gradual increase in maximum temperatures over the next 48 hours, followed by a drop of 2–3°C during the subsequent 24 hours. Thereafter, daytime temperatures are expected to rise again by around 2–3°C. Meanwhile, minimum temperatures are likely to increase by 1–2°C over the next two days, with no significant change anticipated after that period.
