Delhi is expected to see cloudy skies, light rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds on June 4-5 under a Yellow Alert, offering temporary relief from rising temperatures. While rainfall remains uncertain, temperatures have increased over the past 24 hours. From June 6-10, weather is likely to remain largely stable, with fewer rain chances and gradually rising temperatures.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi has experienced a noticeable rise in temperatures over the past 24 hours, with maximum temperatures increasing by 1–4°C and minimum temperatures climbing by 2–3°C.

The minimum temperatures across the city ranged between 27°C and 30°C, while maximum temperatures were recorded between 39°C and 40°C. Night-time temperatures remained above normal by 1.6°C to 3.0°C at a few locations, whereas the rest of the city recorded temperatures within the normal range. Daytime temperatures were largely normal, staying within 1.5°C of seasonal averages at most places.

Delhi Weather Update for June 4

For June 4 the IMD has issued a Yellow Alert. The national capital and its surrounding regions are expected to witness partly cloudy skies during the first half of the day, gradually turning generally cloudy as the weather system strengthens. A spell of light rainfall is likely during the afternoon and evening hours, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds blowing at 40–50 kmph, with gusts reaching up to 60 kmph in isolated areas.

Weather activity is expected to continue into the night, when another round of very light to light rain may occur along with thunderstorm and lightning activity. Residents are advised to remain cautious of sudden weather changes, gusty winds, and brief disruptions caused by thunderstorms during the day and night.

 The IMD predicts very light to light rainfall; if the trends of the last 2-3 days are observed, Delhi has received 0 mm of rain. But since the weather is ever-changing, it is advisable to keep your umbrellas with you.

Maximum Temperature: The maximum temperature in Delhi, as per IMD, is 39.1 Degrees Celsius. It is 1.7 Degrees Celsius more than the previous day (June 3)

Minimum Temperature: The minimum temperature in Delhi, as per the IMD, is 29.7 Degrees Celsius. It is 2.3 Degrees Celsius more than the previous day (June 3)

IMD Prediction for Delhi for the Next Few Days

The IMD has maintained the Yellow Alert on June 5 as well. From June 6 to June 10, the situation will be normal and no such alerts are issued for now. Delhi is likely to experience a mix of cloudy skies, light rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds between June 5 and June 7, helping keep temperatures relatively under control. From June 8 to June 10, weather conditions are expected to become mostly clear to partly cloudy, with rainfall chances reducing significantly and temperatures gradually rising. Winds may continue intermittently, but no major weather disturbances are currently anticipated.
