Delhi University has started the first phase of undergraduate admissions for the 2026-27 academic session through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal. Students who appeared for CUET UG 2026 can now register online at ugadmission.uod.ac.in using their CUET application number. This year, DU is offering admission to more than 71,000 undergraduate seats across 67 colleges and 73 programmes, along with over 100 BA programme combinations. Students who appeared for the CUET UG 2026 exam and want to take admission to Delhi University colleges can now register through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) 2026) portal. The university has also issued important instructions for CBSE students waiting for their re-evaluation results.
Important Update For CBSE Re-evaluation Students
Many CBSE Class 12 students who applied for re-evaluation are still waiting for their revised marks. To help these students, Delhi University has asked them to enter their original (pre-re-evaluation) Class 12 marks while filling out the CSAS form. Once CBSE announces the revised results, students can update their marks on the portal. Speaking to ANI, DU Dean of Admissions Haneet Gandhi said students should not worry because the CSAS portal will remain open for several weeks, giving them enough time to update their revised marks.
How Are Class 12 Marks Used?
Haneet Gandhi also clarified that Class 12 marks have only a limited role in the admission process. According to him, the main purpose of the marks is to confirm that the student has passed Class 12. They are used only if there is a tie-breaker between two or more candidates with the same CUET score.
Delhi University has made it clear that undergraduate admissions will be based mainly on CUET UG 2026 scores. Students must also meet the eligibility rules for their chosen course, as mentioned in the DU Information Bulletin 2026. The CSAS registration window opened on June 26, 2026, at ugadmission.uod.ac.in. Students can register only by using their CUET UG 2026 application number.
With the CSAS portal now open, the admission process has officially started, and thousands of students are expected to register over the coming weeks. After completing the first phase of registration, students will have to take part in CSAS Phase II.
In this stage, candidates will:
•   Match the CUET subjects with the subjects they studied in Class 12.
•   Select their preferred courses and colleges.
Delhi University has said that the schedule for Phase II will be announced separately.
