Through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) the institutions are collaborating to reinforce a shared commitment to environmental education, research, and community engagement.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Vandna Luthra, Principal (Officiating), Gargi College, University of Delhi and Ms. Ambika Pant, Honorary Secretary, Board of Trustees, Modern School.
In particular the institutions are taking forward the Yamuna River Initiative (YaRI), which is an interdisciplinary educational programme developed by Modern Institute for Education (MIE) that promotes river literacy by engaging students with the ecological, cultural, and historical significance of the Yamuna through experiential learning, research, storytelling, and community participation.
The partnership will further strengthen academic frameworks by fostering collaborative research, teacher capacity building, student engagement, educational resource development, and outreach initiatives  focusing on climate change and its impact on river ecosystems.
