Now, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Delhi NCR, which means that weather in HP is unlikely to change anytime soon.

In its most recent forecast, the  Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh, which recently faced flash floods and landslides. The stormy weather will likely be accompanied by heavy winds and lightning.

Yes, the people of Himachal Pradesh can expect that heavy rain with thunderstorms will linger in the state. According to the IMD, there will be monsoon in the state till at least August 15, 2026.

The IMD has forecasted that widespread monsoon activity and heavy rainfall will linger across Himachal Pradesh for the next six days. As a result, residents should race for travel disruptions and high water levels in rivers and other water bodies
