Himachal Pradesh Weather Today (August 18): The Indian Meterological Department (IMD) on Tuesday, August 18, has issued multiple ‘orange’ and ‘yellow’ alerts for several regions in Himachal Pradesh. According to the weather forecast, the highest rainfall in the state was recorded in Kothi (Kullu) at 71.4mm, Dharamshala at 52.2mm and Kasauli at 52 mm.

The IMD has predicted unsettled weather with moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds till August 23. An orange alert has been issued for four districts, which are Kangra, Mandi, Bilaspur and Sirmaur. Meanwhile, a yellow alert has been issued for Una, Hamirpur, Chamba, Kullu, Shimla, and Solan districts.
Which roads and routes have been affected?
The heavy to heavy rainfall has triggered waterlogging and landslides across the regions, leading to multiple blockages of roads and routes. According to the regional reports, 105 roads have been blocked in the state. Mandi has the highest number of road closures, with 39 routes closed. Â Meanwhile, 33 roads in Kullu district, nine in Sramaur, and six each in Kangra and Chamba have been blocked due to the massive landslides.Â
