In Uttar Pradesh, major urban centres including Lucknow and Gorakhpur witnessed extensive lighting arrays deployed across government secretariats, municipal corporation offices, and railway infrastructure nodes. Prominent historical statues honouring freedom fighters and national icons became natural gathering points for local residents, who turned out in large numbers to capture photographs and absorb the festive ambience.
Cultural authorities and municipal bodies noted that these coordinated lighting displays are designed to foster civic pride while ensuring energy efficiency through modern low-power LED systems.
“The scale of illumination this year has been meticulously planned across all major administrative zones, creating an immersive nocturnal environment that reflects the true collective spirit of our freedom celebrations,” a senior official from the Uttar Pradesh Information Department reportedly stated during an operational media briefing detailing the statewide preparations.

Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat highlighted the extraordinary public reception during the formal launch of the campaign’s current edition, noting that the initiative has evolved into an essential annual national tradition.
“Har Ghar Tiranga has today become a true people’s movement, celebrated across the country with immense enthusiasm and patriotic fervour, serving as a powerful symbol of our collective national identity,” Shri Shekhawat noted in an official statement released by the Ministry of Culture.
