Lohardaga Municipal Corporation 2026: The vote counting for the Lohardaga Municipal Council Election 2026 is in process on Friday, February 27. This is along with results for 19 other municipal councils, nine municipal corporations, and 19 Nagar Panchayats across Jharkhand. As per the latest update, Nishad Prabin has won from Ward 10 in Lohardaga.
In total, counting is being conducted for 1,087 wards across the state. As per the reports, civic election results are being closely monitored amid high public interest.

Voting for the Lohardaga Municipal Council was held on February 23, with a voter turnout of 61.84 per cent. According to the State Election Commission, nearly 62 per cent of voters participated in the civic polls statewide.
Among urban bodies, Seraikela Nagar Panchayat recorded the highest turnout at 74.86 per cent, while Ranchi Municipal Corporation reported the lowest at 43.35 per cent, followed by Dhanbad Municipal Corporation at 46.98 per cent.
Nearly 562 candidates, including 235 women, contested for mayor and chairperson posts. Additionally, 5,562 candidates, including 2,727 women, were in the fray for ward councillor positions.
Unlike general elections, voting was conducted using ballot papers instead of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). The elections were held on a non-party basis, meaning candidates did not contest under official party symbols. Notably, the ballot papers did not include the NOTA (None of the Above) option.
