Mahtari Vandana Yojana: Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai Releases 30th Installment
Today, Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai officially released the 30th instalment of the Mahtari Vandana Yojana to 67,20,125 eligible women. The installment was worth ₹630 crore and transferred by the state government of Chattisgarh via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Deo Sai confirmed the payment of the 30th installment and reaffirmed that his government wants to increase the respect and self-reliance of women, via this scheme. “Empowered women… Prosperous families… Developed Chhattisgarh. With the release of the 30th installment of the scheme today, a total of Rs 30,000 honorarium has now been transferred to the eligible accounts of more than 67 lakh mothers and sisters in the state. This is not just financial assistance but our ongoing effort to foster self-respect, self-reliance, and family prosperity. It is the resolve of our double-engine government that every sister in the state moves forward with honour and confidence,” he posted on microblogging platform X.
What is the Mahtari Vandana Yojana?
The Mahtari Vandana Yojana is a welfare scheme that was launched by Chattisgarh’s state government in March 2024. Under the scheme, an amount of ₹1,000 is provided monthly to eligible women via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for any financial help.
