The fire broke out at the early hours of Wednesday in a five storey structure with dozens of people stuck inside. At least 18 foreign nationals lost their lives. The thick smoke and fire quickly engulfed the building and several guests had to take desperate measures to get to safety, some jumping to the upper floors to try and save their lives. Who Is Armaan?

In the middle of the confusion, an unidentified man who worked at a nearby shop, somehow managed to help people escape from the burning building, by grabbing mattresses from his own store. Armaan arrived at the fire scene to understand what was happening, and straight away he could tell that a lot of people didn’t have any real way to get out safely. Fire and flames just kept blocking the exits , and smoke was everywhere through most of the building, a bunch of people got stuck up on the upper floors. At the same time Armaan and others who were there worked alongside emergency responders, trying to back up their efforts to quench the fire and pull out the folks trapped inside.

What Did Armaan Say About Malviya Nagar Fire?

Recalling the terrifying moments, Armaan said the intensity of the blaze made it nearly impossible for anyone to enter or exit the building safely. He mentioned that only a few people managed to get close to the building without being injured. He also realized that some people might have to jump from windows, so he went to his local shop and took around 20-22 mattresses, then laid them on the ground underneath. That makeshift cushion, gave those trying to escape from the upper floors a safer place to land. A few guests then began to climb on the mattresses, while the fire spread throughout the building.

Another Fire At Bihar Hospital

Four people have died due to a fire at a private hospital in Muzaffarpur; expert forensic teams are going over the scene, to understand just what exactly happened, and how. Officials say the fire began in the Prasad Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Muzaffarpur Bihar. During the process of taking out around fifteen individuals from the building, the firefighting crew had to deal with heavy smoke. A firefighter, in an interview with ANI said, ‘I saved about fifteen people’.
