The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has also warned of isolated heavy showers accompanied by lightning, thunder and gusty winds of 40–50 kmph. In the 24 hours ending at 8 am, Mumbai’s island city recorded an average rainfall of 14.21 mm, while the eastern and western suburbs received 39.37 mm and 28.85 mm, respectively, according to the BMC.
Heavy Rain, Strong Winds Forecast for Tamil Nadu’s Nilgiris
