MP Bhind Accident News:Â In the early hours of Tuesday morning, a horrific road accident in Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh claimed the lives of a minimum of eight labourers, while 32 others were left with injuries. As per reports, the incident took place when the pick-up vehicle in which the labourers were travelling collided head-on with a dumper. It has been reported that the victims were on their way back to their village in Uttar Pradesh after working in Gwalior.
MP Bhind Accident News: How did the accident happen in Bhind?
According to the reports, the accident took place around 1 am near Chhimka village on the Bhind-Gwalior National Highway. Preliminary investigation suggests that the pickup driver lost control of the vehicle while attempting to avoid cattle sitting on the highway. The vehicle then moved onto the wrong side of the road and collided with a dumper truck approaching from the opposite direction, Gohad Chauraha police station in-charge Ramnaresh Yadav said.
How many people were killed and injured?
The collision resulted in the deaths of eight labourers. Five of them died at the accident spot, while three others succumbed to their injuries while being taken to hospital, the police said. Another 32 labourers sustained injuries in the crash, with several reportedly suffering serious injuries following the impact.
Where were the injured labourers taken?
Following information about the accident, police teams rushed to the spot, where they found several labourers trapped inside the badly damaged pickup vehicle. With the help of local residents, the police rescued those trapped inside and shifted the injured to a hospital in Gohad. The injured were provided first aid, while those in critical condition were referred to Gwalior for further treatment.

As per the police reports, the labourers were heading back to their village in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh, after completing the rice transplantation work in Gwalior. They met with an accident when the pick-up truck crashed into the dumper truck on the highway. The police started the investigation of the case and is looking into the circumstances of the collision, and further investigation is underway.
