Mumbai Weather Update (July 10, 2026): IMD Extends Green Alert for Greater Mumbai As Waterlogged Roads Clear Up – Check Minimum Temperature, Maximum Temperature & More

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has maintained its green alert for Mumbai & its suburbs, with chances of light to moderain today. The waterlogged roads have also mostly dried up in the financial capital, owing to the current pleasant conditions.

Mumbai Weather Update (July 10, 2026): Mumbai and its suburbs have been facing torrential rain ever since the start of July. But in its latest forecast, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has maintained its green alert for the financial capital, in a welcoming news. 

Mumbai Weather Update: IMD’s Recent Forecast

Heavy rains took over Mumbai in the beginning of July and persisted ever since. The monsoon had an adverse impact on the financial capital, leading to waterlogged roads, localised flooding and even flight delays. But now, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has extended its green alert for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, which comes as a respite. 
The waterlogged roads have also mostly dried up, owing to the current pleasant conditions. Schools and offices are expected to remain open today.

Mumbai Weather Update: Will the Financial Capital See Rain Today?

Yes, Mumbai will likely face rain again today. However the green alert indicates that the rain will be light to moderate in nature. It will not be extreme enough to cause any flooding or disruptions.  

Mumbai Weather Forecast for Next 6 Days 

Over the next 6 days, Mumbai’s weather will be mostly pleasant. Expect light rain until the weekend and after that, the skies will turn overcast with a strong likelihood of ‘scattered thunderstorms’. There will not be any noticeable temperature changes during this period.

  • Minimum temperature: 28°Celsius 

  • Maximum temperature: 31°Celsius  

Mumbai Weather Update: AQI Level

The current AQI level in Mumbai is 27, which is considered good (the range of 0-50 is categorised as good).The PM2.5 and PM10 levels are at 16 µg/m³ and 21 µg/m³ respectively. With the low level of pollutants and pleasant temperature, it is a good time for people to enjoy the outdoors.
