PM Kisan 24th Installment 2026: Farmers waiting for the next Rs 2,000 payment under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana should complete a few mandatory checks to avoid delays. While the next installment is still some time away, missing key requirements could stop the benefit from reaching eligible beneficiaries.

When Will The PM Kisan 24th Installment Be Released?

The Centre recently released the 23rd installment under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Since the scheme follows a four-month payment cycle, the 24th installment is expected to be credited in October 2026, although the government has not announced an official date yet. Eligible farmers receive Rs 6,000 annually, paid in three installments of Rs 2,000 each through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

What Mistakes Should Farmers Avoid?

To receive the next installment without any issues, farmers should ensure they have completed all mandatory requirements.

  • Complete e-KYC
The government has made e-KYC mandatory for all PM Kisan beneficiaries. Farmers who fail to complete e-KYC may not receive the next installment.
  • Get A Farmer ID (Where Applicable)
Some states, including Uttar Pradesh, have made it compulsory for eligible beneficiaries to obtain a 12-digit Farmer ID through the Kisan Registry portal.
Without this ID, the installment may be withheld.
  • Link Aadhaar With Your Bank Account
The PM Kisan benefit is transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). To receive the payment, the beneficiary’s Aadhaar must be linked with the bank account registered under the scheme.
  • Complete Land Verification
Farmers should ensure their Khasra-Khatauni land records are updated and verified. If the land verification status shows “No” on the government portal, the next installment may not be released until the verification is completed.

How To Complete PM Kisan e-KYC?

Farmers can complete e-KYC through three methods.

OTP-Based e-KYC

•    Visit pmkisan.gov.in
•    Click on e-KYC
•    Enter your Aadhaar number
•    Verify using the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number

Biometric e-KYC

Farmers can visit their nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or State Seva Kendra (SSK) with their Aadhaar card to complete biometric verification.

Face Authentication

Farmers can also complete e-KYC using the PM Kisan mobile app and the Aadhaar Face RD App by scanning their face after Aadhaar verification.

Why Is Aadhaar And Land Verification Important?

The government uses Aadhaar verification and land records to ensure that financial assistance reaches only eligible farmers. Keeping these details updated can help avoid payment delays or rejection of future installments.
