Uttarakhand Schools Holiday: Nainital Announces Holiday
Nainital has confirmed a school holiday for September 2. The district administration ordered a one-day closure for all government, semi-government and private schools offering Classes 1 to 12. Anganwadi centres will also remain closed.
The administration cited the IMD’s orange alert and ongoing rainfall, along with the possibility of strong water flow in rivers and streams and landslides at vulnerable locations. This means students in Nainital district do not need to report to school on Wednesday, September 2.
Himachal Pradesh School Holiday Update
Himachal Pradesh remains one of the areas to watch because the IMD has forecast heavy rainfall through September 3.
However, a statewide September 2 school closure has not been confirmed in the latest reports. Individual districts can issue separate orders if rainfall, landslides or road disruptions create safety concerns.
