Here is the list of Ministers set to take the oath of office today with Vijay.

C. Joseph Vijay, the president of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on Sunday, May 10, 2026. His appointment marks a historic shift in the state’s politics, ending nearly six decades of alternating rule between the DMK and AIADMK.

While a single “Deputy CM” has not been officially designated in the primary oath-taking ceremony, the new government includes several key cabinet ministers from the TVK and its coalition partners.

1. N Anand

Bussy Anand, the 61-year-old leader, is widely regarded as Vijay’s closest aide. He was elected as a Puducherry MLA from the Bussy constituency in 2006 and has now won from Chennai’s T Nagar constituency. He earlier served as the chief of the Vijay Rasigar Mandram in Puducherry, where he organised welfare activities and built a close association with Vijay, eventually becoming one of the founding office-bearers of TVK.

2. Aadhav Arjuna

Aadhav Arjuna, a basketball player-turned-businessman-turned-politician, is the former founder and managing director of Arise Capital. He currently serves as president of the Basketball Federation of India and the Tamil Nadu Basketball Association, and as general secretary of the Tamil Nadu Olympic Association. He had briefly served as deputy general secretary of the VCK before quitting the party and joining TVK.

3. Rajmohan Arumugam

Rajmohan Arumugam emerged from digital creator platform Put Chutney and played a key role in helping TVK connect with millennial and Gen Z voters. As the party’s propaganda secretary, he used satire, humour and conversational online content to turn policy messaging into viral reels and YouTube clips, helping TVK reach younger audiences sceptical of traditional political speeches.

4. C T R Nirmal Kumar

C T R Nirmal Kumar emerged as the architect of TVK’s digital campaign strategy, leveraging his experience from the BJP and AIADMK social media war rooms. He built an aggressive online ecosystem of meme networks and WhatsApp volunteers that helped TVK dominate political conversations across digital platforms.

5. K G Arunraaj

Former Indian Revenue Service officer, the doctor-turned-civil servant, took voluntary retirement before joining TVK as its general secretary. He previously served in the Income Tax department across Tamil Nadu, Bihar and Maharashtra. He has now won from the Tiruchengodu constituency.

6. K A Sengottaiyan

K A Sengottaiyan, one of TVK’s seniormost leaders, brings more than 50 years of political experience that is expected to play a key role as the party explores government formation. The former AIADMK veteran is seen as one of the architects of TVK’s strong performance in western Tamil Nadu.

7. Keerthana S

Keerthana S is the only woman minister in Vijay’s cabinet as of now. As per the election affidavit, she has total assets of ₹22.6 lakh and liabilities of ₹12.8 lakh. She declared an annual income of Rs 6.4 lakh. She has declared no pending criminal cases.

8. P Venkataramanan

P Venkataramanan has won the Mylapore constituency on a TVK ticket with 70,070 votes. A postgraduate by qualification, he has declared no criminal cases in his election affidavit. According to the affidavit, his total assets are valued at ₹5.4 crore, including movable assets worth ₹3.2 crore, while liabilities stand at ₹25.5 lakh.

9. KT Prabhu

KT Prabhu is a dentist by profession and contested the Tamil Nadu assembly election 2026 from Karaikudi constituency, Sivaganga. His educational qualification is Post Graduate. KT has total assets of ₹ 11.4 crore and liabilities valued at ₹3.3 crore. He has declared an annual income of Rs 54.6 lakh.
