Telangana School Holiday Today:Â Students and parents are checking whether schools in Telangana will remain closed on September 14, as Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chavithi in Telangana, falls on the day amid ongoing monsoon conditions across the state. While Ganesh Chaturthi is observed as a holiday in several states, school closures may also be influenced by local administrative decisions and weather conditions. Here are all the details you need to know.
Telangana School Holiday Today (September 14): Are Schools Closed for Ganesh Chaturthi?
Yes, schools in Telangana are expected to remain closed on September 14 for Ganesh Chaturthi, as the festival is observed as a holiday in the state. Ganesh Chaturthi marks the birth of Lord Ganesha and is celebrated widely across Telangana with prayers, idol installations and various religious and cultural events. The holiday is part of the festival calendar, making September 14 a non-school day for students in schools observing the state holiday schedule.
Will Schools in Karnataka Remain Closed Due to Heavy Rainfall?
Heavy monsoon rainfall can also result in school closures in parts of Telangana, particularly in districts facing heavy rain, flooding, waterlogging or unsafe travel conditions. However, any closure specifically due to rainfall would be a separate decision based on local weather conditions and administrative orders. The September 14 holiday is primarily associated with Ganesh Chaturthi, while additional rain-related closures would depend on the situation in individual districts.
