What Happened Here?

The incident happened at about 9:45 PM when a black Thar loaded with some young men pulled up at the filling station, officials said. The occupants directed an employee to fill the vehicle’s fuel tank to the fullest. The sales attendant refueled the SUV and did the rest of the service as normal in response to the request. But as soon as the employee shut the gas cap and went to the driver to take payment, the car suddenly took off. Being unable to handle an unexpected escape made the staff of the petrol pump take a moment to adjust.

Caught On CCTV

The employee reportedly tried to track down the SUV but the car had left the scene of the fuel station in seconds. The incident caused the staff panic as they had notified the management of the suspected fuel theft. When the CCTV footage was looked at, the pump operators realized the whole incident was clearly captured on camera. During that checking, one small thing stood out, almost like a curiosity, There was no visible registration number plate on the black Thar, and that detail makes it tougher for investigators to pin down which vehicle it was.

Investigation Going On

After the video went viral, the owner of the petrol pump lodged a complaint with the police in the area and handed over the footage that had been recorded by the CCTV. Police have now taken the video into custody, and they’re also scanning other recordings from nearby roads, intersections, and even nearby businesses, to understand the vehicle’s route once it left the petrol pump. Authorities are trying to locate the driver as well as the passengers of the SUV. They said once the accused persons are identified, legal action will follow. This incident has already led to widespread conversation in the region. Many residents have voiced their concerns, saying such audacious acts are worrying and that fuel stations need stronger vigilance and better control.
