Weather Today (09, February 2026): Weather conditions across India remain largely stable today, with clear skies in most regions. Northern cities are seeing cool starts to the day, while western and southern parts of the country are experiencing pleasant, warm afternoons. Despite the dry spell expected to hold across much of India for the coming week, the India Meteorological Department has indicated an approaching shift in weather over the Western Himalayan region.

Where will it Snow Today?

From February 9, light to moderate rain or snowfall is expected across Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad and the system is forecast to spread to Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand between February 9 and 11. Conditions could intensify on February 10 with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds of 30–40 kmph likely at higher altitudes.

Delhi-NCR Weather Today

Temperatures are likely to range from a high of 23°C to a low of 10°C with humidity levels are expected to stay around 85% during the day, dropping to approximately 50% by evening.

Chennai Weather Today

The conditions remain the same at 31°C during the day and 22°C at night with cloudy skies and zero humidity and no warnings are active with the weather remaining calm and serene in the region. The conditions at the Regional Meteorological Centre in Chennai predict the formation of a low-pressure area in the Kumari Sea and the regions around it, including Lakshadweep and the surrounding areas.

For the residents of Chennai and its surrounding regions, the weather will be partly cloudy on Monday with chances of light fog formation in the city in the early morning hours of the day.

Mumbai Weather Today

The weather is likely to remain in the high 20s with plenty of sunshine and blue skies where the afternoon temperatures are set to rise up to 29°C with light winds at 8-10 km/h and humidity at 40%.

Hyderabad Weather Today

Hyderabad sees a minimum of 17°C, peaking at 31°C, though humidity makes it feel around 34°C and the wind will move around 93 degrees with a gust speed of 5.22. Clear skies are expected with sunrise at 06:49 AM and sunset at 18:14 PM.

Karnataka Weather Today

Bengaluru reports a cooler morning at 17°C, climbing to 22°C. The day will feel closer to 30°C due to humidity and winds at 9.6 km/h. Dry weather persists across Karnataka as night temperatures dip sharply with the wind speed around 5.5. Dharwad records 13.2°C, while coastal and north interior regions brace for intense cold, says IMD.

Uttar Pradesh Weather Today

Lucknow’s day begins at 11°C, rising to 15°C with the daytime temperature averages 26°C, supported by winds at 14.8 km/h. 

Rajasthan Weather Today

Rajasthan records a low of 12°C and a high of 25°C with an average of 15°C and winds at 3.34 km/h contribute to a mild feel. 

Jammu and Kashmir Weather Today

Srinagar faces a harsh winter day, with temperatures ranging from -18°C to -5°C and winds are light, around 1.89 km/h, but the chill makes the daytime feel like -8°C. 

Punjab Weather Today

Punjab will see temperatures between 11°C and 26°C with the average temperature remains around 22°C with winds of 4.8 km/h.

Ahmedabad Weather Today

Ahmedabad reports mild conditions with temperatures from 29°C to 34°C and winds at 14 km/h slightly influence the perceived temperature of 20°C.

Tamil Nadu Weather Today

Due to this weather pattern, fair and dry weather conditions are likely to prevail across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal from Saturday February 7) to February 12.

Will The Dense Fog Lift Soon?

Commuters in northern India continue to navigate through heavy fog and dense to very dense fog is expected to linger during early mornings and late evenings in isolated areas of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand until February 10. Bareilly and Gorakhpur have already recorded zero visibility, creating hazardous driving condition with foggy mornings are likely to affect northern Tamil Nadu, Bihar and select parts of Northeast India through February 9.
