Weather Today (18, February 2026): India’s weather will be a combination of contrasts, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in the northern region may experience snowfall in Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, but in Delhi-NCR and Punjab, rain is more likely. In the southern region, cities like Chennai and Hyderabad may experience warm and humid weather with temperatures rising up to 32 degrees.

A light dusting of snow could occur over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu & Kashmir over the next couple of days. Rainfall is also expected over the northern plains, along with isolated thunderstorms over Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, as the seasons change.

According to early trends, it is likely that the southern and central regions of India could see slightly higher temperatures than those experienced in 2025, with coastal regions such as Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka likely to see more humid conditions in the coming months.
