Annapurna Yojana Scheme has been officially launched by the West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari. Under the scheme, women beneficiaries will receive financial assistance of Rs. 3,000 every month. The Annapurna Yojana, also known as Annapurna Bhandar Scheme, a major electoral promise made during the West Bengal assembly elections 2026, is aimed to empower the women and their financial stability across the state.
What is Annapurna Bhandar Scheme?
Annapurna Bhandar Scheme or Annapurna Yojana is a social security scheme for women residing in the state of West Bengal. The scheme was launched by West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari and dedicated to all the women for managing their household expenses and supporting their healthcare needs. According to the scheme, each woman will receive Rs 3,000 every month directly into their bank accounts.
How to Apply for Annapurna Bhandar in West Bengal?
To apply for the Annapurna Bhandar scheme, eligible women have to fill out the 12 page form either online or offline through social security portal or by submitting the application form at local BDO offices, municipality offices or designated camps formed by the government across the state. CM Suvendu Adhikari has said that the process will continue for 90 days from the launch. “ It will be conducted ward by ward, with MLAs also extending their cooperation. Beneficiaries will receive funds under the Annapurna Yojana only after completing the enrolment process,” Suvendu stated.

Online: Women will be required to visit Annapurna Yojana scheme’s official portal and click on ‘Track Application’ and by entering the credentials such as the application reference number.

Offline: It can also be checked offline by visiting the local block or municipal office and provide the acknowledgement receipt when asked for details.
Check Who is Not Eligible?
Mothers who have sent their wards to independent madrassas which are unaided and unrecognized by the government are not entitled to receive the monthly benefit under the Annapurna scheme. The payment will also be denied to those women who have not immunised their children or deleted from the list of voters after the latest SIR of the electoral rolls.
