What Led To Bihar Muzaffarpur Hospital Fire?Â
According to different media reports, Initial investigations seem to point that a possible short circuit may have triggered the fire. The blaze started in or around the ICU, where a few critically ill patients were being treated officials said. The fire escalated really fast, trapping the ward under thick smoke and it made evacuation kind of a nightmare, nearly impossible in practice. Firefighters did manage to evacuate patients from the ICU and other parts of the hospital too. Not long after that, the survivors were moved to nearby medical facilities for further care. Emergency responders noted that the rescue work was extremely difficult because of the smoke, and also because some patients couldn’t move on their own.
