India AI Impact Expo 2026, inaugurated by PM Modi, will showcase cutting-edge AI innovations, global collaborations, and 12 indigenous AI models across 70,000 sq metres.

PM Narendra Modi to Inaugurate India AI Impact Expo 2026
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the India AI Impact Expo 2026 on February 16 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The five-day event will run till February 20 and will take place alongside the India AI Impact Summit.
The India AI Impact Expo 2026 is designed as a national showcase of artificial intelligence in real-world use. It aims to bring together policy-making, innovation, and large-scale implementation on a single platform, highlighting how AI is transforming different sectors.
The Expo will span over 70,000 square metres across 10 dedicated arenas. It will host participation from global technology companies, Indian startups, academic institutions, research bodies, Union Ministries, State Governments, and international partners.
International collaboration will be a major focus, with 13 country pavilions representing Australia, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Serbia, Estonia, Tajikistan, and several African nations.
More than 300 curated exhibition pavilions and live demonstrations will be organised around three core themes, known as the three “chakras” — People, Planet, and Progress. These themes reflect AI’s impact across healthcare, agriculture, climate action, education, governance, and industry.
The Expo will feature over 600 high-potential startups, many of which are already deploying AI solutions at population scale. These startups are building technologies with global relevance and real-world applications.
Organisers expect more than 2.5 lakh visitors, including international delegates. The event is expected to help create global partnerships, attract investments, and open new business opportunities in the AI ecosystem.
Alongside the exhibition, more than 500 sessions will be conducted, featuring over 3,250 speakers and panellists from India and abroad. These sessions will focus on policy, innovation, ethics, and the future of artificial intelligence.
The Impact Summit, being held alongside the Expo, is the first international AI summit hosted in the Global South. It reflects India’s ambition to shape an AI future that is inclusive, responsible, and focused on real impact.
Under the IndiaAI Mission, the government will unveil 12 indigenous foundation AI models developed by Indian startups and consortia. These models are trained on large Indian datasets and designed to support all 22 official Indian languages.
These foundation models and applications will be showcased across the Expo’s 70,000-square-metre space, highlighting practical uses of AI — from precision agriculture and climate solutions to inclusive education and digital governance.
With India’s AI market expected to cross USD 17 billion by 2027, the summit is seen as more than a diplomatic event. Backed by 800 million internet users, a strong startup ecosystem, and advanced digital public infrastructure, India is positioning itself as a global bridge between AI innovation and large-scale impact.
