At an age when most children are still discovering their favourite cartoons, Ranvir Sachdeva is already shaping conversations around artificial intelligence on global platforms. The eight-year-old made headlines after becoming the youngest-ever keynote speaker at the India AI Impact Summit, drawing admiration from policymakers, tech leaders, and educators alike.
Ranvir’s presence at the summit was more than symbolic. His speech reflected how young voices are increasingly contributing to debates on responsible AI, innovation, and technology-led growth.
Ranvir Sachdeva is a technologist (AI), global author, and TEDx speaker who has gained recognition for explaining complex artificial intelligence concepts in simple, child-friendly language. He first made history at the age of six by becoming the youngest TEDx speaker on technology and innovation, with a focus on artificial intelligence.
His achievements have earned him a place in the Asia Book of Records, where he is listed as the youngest TEDx speaker in Asia. According to media reports, Ranvir has studied at The Ardee School in Delhi, where his interest in technology and learning took shape early on.

Ranvir Sachdeva’s father, Gurjot Sachdeva, has been a constant source of support, often accompanying him to major events, including standing in line with him at the opening of the Apple Store in New Delhi in 2023.
Ranvir Sachdeva is 8 years old.
At the summit in New Delhi, Ranvir spoke about the growing role of artificial intelligence in everyday life. He highlighted how modern technology can connect with ancient Indian philosophies and shared his own AI use case to show how innovation can drive national progress.
In an ANI interview at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, Ranvir said, "I'm here as the youngest keynote speaker at the India AI Impact Summit. I'm talking about how I'm linking ancient Indian philosophies to modern-day technologies. I'm also covering the different approaches with which the rest of the nations are building AI. I'm talking about how India is building AI with it. I'm sharing my own use case of an Indian AI model just released and how I'm contributing to India's GDP and driving AI literacy with it.”
His remarks resonated with audiences, especially young students attending the event.
Ranvir continues to expand his learning beyond school. He is currently pursuing a machine learning course at Harvard University, as mentioned on the AI for Good platform.
He also serves as an ITU160 Ambassador for the International Telecommunication Union and works as a technology ambassador for ECB Sustainable Youth, City One Initiative, and the Chakra Dialogues Foundation.
In July 2025, the Ministry of Education invited the then seven-year-old to speak during the national celebrations marking five years of NEP 2020, where his message encouraged young people to engage with digital innovation.
Ranvir is also a published author. His debut book, Are You Born With AI?, focuses on responsible AI and positions young people as future change-makers. The book is available globally on Amazon and has received international recognition.
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres personally congratulated Ranvir on the book, writing, “We count on you for a better world with AI!”
Ranvir’s journey has brought him face-to-face with some of the biggest names in technology. He met Sundar Pichai and Sam Altman at the summit and shared moments from the interactions on social media.
He has also met Marc Benioff, Doreen Bogdan-Martin, and Apple CEO Tim Cook, whom he met in New Delhi in 2023 during the opening of Apple’s Delhi store.
Despite his packed schedule, Ranvir enjoys playing chess, Scrabble, and cricket. He is part of his school’s under-10 cricket team and continues to balance learning, innovation, and play — proving that age is no barrier to impact.
