A shocking discovery on Delhi’s Peeragarhi flyover has turned into a complex mystery after police questioned a “baba” who reportedly met the victims hours before three people were found dead inside a parked car. Investigators are now examining whether the spiritual figure had any connection to the incident, as forensic clues suggest possible poisoning.

Police found two men and a woman dead inside a locked vehicle parked on the service lane after passersby alerted authorities about the unresponsive occupants. Officers rushed to the spot and began a detailed probe into the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

Investigators confirmed that the victims met a baba on the morning before the incident. Officers questioned the spiritual figure to determine whether he had any direct role in the events leading up to the deaths. Police have not confirmed whether the baba travelled with them in the car or maintained further contact.

An officer said, “They met a baba the morning before the incident. We are not sure if he sat in their car. He was not around the crime scene,” highlighting the uncertainty surrounding his involvement.

What Happened On Peeragarhi Flyover?

Police discovered the bodies of a 76-year-old man in the driver’s seat, a 47-year-old man in the front passenger seat, and a 40-year-old woman in the back seat. The car had remained parked for several hours before someone alerted authorities.

Investigators said there were no visible external injuries or signs of struggle inside the vehicle, which pushed them to consider poisoning or suicide as possible causes.

Forensic teams recovered a plastic bottle and glasses that reportedly contained traces of poison. Medical examinations suggested that the victims may have died after consuming a toxic substance, although the final autopsy report remains pending.

A second officer connected to the case said the preliminary examination by the doctors showed that the victim had died after “ingesting poison”.

Suicide Or Foul Play? Police Probe Both Angles

Investigators have not ruled out any possibility and continue to examine suicide and murder angles simultaneously. Another senior police officer said, “We are still investigating a suicide as well as a foul play angle. We are not sure what happened.”

Family members of the deceased have strongly rejected the suicide theory. Speaking to HT, the daughter of the 76-year-old said everything had been normal on the day of the incident. “There were no financial or family issues. My father would have never ended his life,” she said.
