According to the media reports, police identified the main accused as Dinesh Ranwa, a solar businessman by profession. Officials said he had purchased the Audi just three months ago. Mobile phones belonging to all the accused were recovered from inside the car and have been sent for forensic examination.

According to police, the Audi was allegedly racing with another car moments before the accident. One of the occupants, Pappu, told investigators that Dinesh Ranwa, a resident of Churu, was driving the Audi. He claimed Dinesh had called him to Kharabas Circle on Friday night.

Pappu said two more people were inside the Audi when Dinesh suddenly began racing with another vehicle at high speed. When the Audi hit the divider and lost control, the other car involved in the race reportedly turned back and fled the scene.

Initial investigation suggests that all four occupants of the Audi were intoxicated at the time of the incident. Residents caught Pappu, a resident of Renwal, at the spot and handed him over to the police. The other three accused managed to escape.

Police are now examining whether alcohol consumption and reckless racing directly led to the fatal crash.
