Yogini Ekadashi 2026: July 2026 marks the auspicious occasion of Yogini Ekadashi. This ekadashi is a great chance for those who wish to seek forgiveness. However, confusion has prevailed about the date for this year’s Yogini Ekadashi, whether it is on July 10 (Friday) or July 11 (Saturday).

There is quite a bit of confusion about the date for Yogini Ekadashi this year, with some claiming it’s on July 10, while others have declared it to be on July 11. According to Drik Panchang, the date for Yogini Ekadashi 2026 is as follows:

The Puja timings for Yogini Ekadashi in 2026 are as follows: 

  • Brahma Muhurta: 4:54 AM to 5:26 AM

  • Abhijit Muhurta (Most Auspicious): 1:24 PM to 2:28 PM

  • Vijay Muhurta: 4:35 PM to 5:39 PM

  • Parana Window: From 1: 50 PM to 4: 57 PM on 11th July.

Yogini Ekadashi 2026: Significance 

Yogini Ekadashi is an extremely auspicious day that falls during the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) of Ashadha month. Many believe that keeping a fast on this day leads to the cleansing of all your sins and negative karma (deeds). While some say that the fast brings peace and prosperity into your home.  

Yogini Ekadashi 2026: Dos & Don’ts for Devotees 

On Yogini Ekadashi, devotees should keep the following things in mind: 

Dos 

  • Wake up during the Brahma Muhurta (before sunrise) to clean the puja spot, bathe and get ready.

  • Dress in yellow, as it is considered to be the favourite colour of Lord Vishnu.  

  • Visit a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and perform Tulsi Puja. 

  • Chant mantras related to Lord Vishnu or listen to the Bhagavad Gita or Vishnu Sahasranama. 

  • Perform charitable deeds and serving the needy people with food, clothes or other necessities. 

Don’ts 

  • Avoid cutting any hair or nails on this day.

  • Sleep during the day. 

  • Break the fast prematurely, as it is meant to be broken on the day of Dwadashi. 

  • Avoid eating grains, onions, garlic and mushrooms. 

  • Avoid any gossip or criticism

  • Do not cause any harm to trees or plants.
