Allahabad HC strengthens bench with Nine New Judges

Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court, Justice Arun Bhansali, administered the oath to nine additional court judges, elevating them to permanent judges.
The Allahabad High Court, which includes its Lucknow Bench, now has 80 judges out of the 160 sanctioned posts. The newly sworn-in permanent judges are Justices Syed Qamar Hasan Rizvi, Manish Kumar Nigam, Anish Kumar Gupta, Nand Prabha Shukla, Kshitij Shailendra, Vinod Diwakar, Prashant Kumar, Manjive Shukla, and Arun Kumar Singh Deshwal. The oath-taking ceremony took place in the courtroom of the Chief Justice at 10 a.m. The Ministry of Law and Justice had officially notified the appointment of these nine additional judges as permanent judges of the Allahabad High Court on August 21. The ceremony was attended by all sitting judges and a large number of lawyers.
