Elvish Yadav accused of assaulting fellow YouTuber

Reality show Bigg Boss winner and YouTuber Elvish Yadav has been accused of assaulting another YouTuber, as stated by police.

As per officials, the incident occurred in Gurugram, where Elvish Yadav and his followers purportedly attacked the victim. The victim, Sagar Thakur, known as Maxtern, lodged a complaint with Gurugram police, alleging that he was assaulted by Elvish Yadav and his followers following a social media altercation. A video of the incident was shared by the victim on social media.

Based on the complaint, Gurugram’s Sector-53 Police Station has registered a case against Elvish Yadav under sections 147 (punishment for rioting), 149 (unlawful assembly), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.

In his complaint to the police, Thakur stated, “I, Sagar Thakur, also known as Maxtern, would like to draw your attention to a serious incident of assault and threat to my life perpetrated by Elvish Yadav, which requires immediate legal action. I am a well-known content creator specializing in gaming entertainment, actively producing content on YouTube since 2017.”

According to the police FIR, the victim said, “I have gained recognition and accolades in the gaming community for my entertainment-based content. Elvish Yadav is also a content creator, and I have known him since 2021.”

“In the last few months, Elvish Fan Pages spread hate and propaganda, which caused me distress, leading me to seek counseling from an NGO. I was asked by Elvish Yadav to meet, but I assumed it was for a verbal discussion. However, when he arrived at the location with his 8-10 inebriated henchmen, they started assaulting me and using abusive language,” the FIR stated.

“Elvish Yadav attempted to break my spine, intending to render me physically disabled. All 8-10 individuals arrived at 12:30 AM, and on March 8, 2024, before leaving, Elvish Yadav threatened to kill me when I was nearly unconscious,” it added.

The police are further investigating the matter.

This incident comes nearly four months after a case was registered at Noida Sector 49 Police Station against six individuals, including Elvish Yadav, for allegedly making snake venom available at rave parties.
