India vs Brazil Football Live Score: Blue Tigers Face Five-Time World Champions In Kolkata — Check IND vs BRA Score, Latest Commentary, Goals & Highlights

India vs Brazil Football Live Score & Updates: India and Brazil meet for the first time at senior international level as the Blue Tigers welcome the five-time world champions to the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata on Saturday, October 3. The occasion brings together two teams at very different stages of their current cycles, with the India national football team looking to build on a disciplined draw against Panama and the Brazil national football team continuing Carlo Ancelotti’s post-World Cup reset.

India And Brazil Set For Historic Friendly

India head into the blockbuster fixture after a 1-1 draw against Panama in Bengaluru on September 25. Ryan Williams put the Blue Tigers ahead before Panama equalised, giving Khalid Jamil’s side a notable result against a team ranked inside FIFA’s top 50.

Brazil have already played twice during the September-October international window. They drew 1-1 with Australia in Townsville, with Rayan scoring a stoppage-time equaliser, before producing a 4-2 comeback win over Australia in Brisbane. Vanderson, Raphinha, Bruno Guimaraes and Vinicius Junior scored in the second game.

Brazil Team Updates

Carlo Ancelotti has brought a mixture of established stars and younger players to Kolkata as Brazil begin a new cycle after the 2026 World Cup. Vinícius Júnior, Endrick, Estevao, Joao Pedro and Rayan provide attacking options, while Marquinhos, Gabriel Magalhaes and Vitor Reis form part of a defence that combines experience with emerging talent.

In midfield, Bruno Guimaraes, Douglas Luiz and Andrey Santos are among the prominent names.

However, Brazil will be without Raphinha for the India game. The Barcelona forward underwent an imaging examination after the Australia fixture and was found to have a small muscular oedema in the back of his right thigh. The CBF subsequently released the Barcelona forward from the squad as a precaution, with no replacement called up.

Ancelotti has confirmed that goalkeeper Pedro Morisco will start, while the coach has indicated that the friendlies are opportunities to assess players as Brazil develop the next phase of the team.

India Team Updates

Khalid Jamil’s India squad enters the match after the encouraging Panama draw. Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Anwar Ali, Akash Mishra, Anirudh Thapa, Sahal Abdul Samad, Manvir Singh, Ryan Williams and Vikram Partap Singh are among the experienced players available to the head coach.

Ryan Williams arrives with confidence after scoring India’s goal against Panama, while Anwar Ali is expected to be an important figure in dealing with Brazil’s attacking threat.

India will be aiming to reproduce the defensive organisation and transition threat displayed against Panama while facing an opponent ranked fifth in the FIFA world rankings.
