The Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), a subsidiary of the Coal India Limited (CIL), will open schools for the poor and dropouts under its areas across Jharkhand, under corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Gopal Singh, chairman CIL, who is also the CMD of CCL, inaugurated the first “Kayakalp Public School” at Bukru village, Ranchi. The CCL, under the “Kayakalp Model”, has been working for the progress of society and well being of its stakeholders. Whether it is Jharkhand’s first Sports University or schools for dropouts, the CCL is working to shape the young generation, said a company official.
The school has been started with 30 students and it will run on CBSE pattern. The students would be given technical and skill development training so that when they reach class IX, they would be equipped with additional certificate apart from the CBSE certificate.
“Digital Board and Wi-Fi facilities will be provided to the students of this school. Four pairs of school uniforms would be given to the students.Free mid-day meal will be provided to the students,” the official added.-Our correspondent
