Reconciliation with Pak is my dream: Mufti

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed said that it was his dream to see India and Pakistan as friends and Kashmir to act as bridge for their permanent friendship. He said that he will continue to pursue his dream with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Mufti said on Friday that reconciliation with Pakistan and the resolution of the Kashmir dispute was on the agenda of PDP-BJP alliance and such issues take time and cannot be solved in one meeting. When asked by media on Friday on why the PM did not talk about Pakistan in his Srinagar rally on 7 November, Mufti said, “Such talks take a lot of time to materialise and PM’s speech in Srinagar was only focused on development.” Mufti added that reconciliation with Pakistan was at an “evolutionary process”.
Mufti reiterated that it was his dream to see India and Pakistan as good neighbours and Kashmir dispute resolved between them so that the country can usher in an era of development and peace and compete with the rest of the world. He said that in the aftermath of last year’s floods, PM Modi is totally focused on development and good governance of Jammu and Kashmir.
