HC seeks J&K stand on screening test

The J&K High Court has asked the state government to clear its stand on holding a screening test for Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers, as they have challenged the order of the government according to the court’s directions. Following the HC’s observations about the teachers and their selection, the government ordered all those ReT teachers who had obtained their degrees from study centres/distance mode, to sit in a screening test. The HC had made its order after a ReT teacher could not even write his name on paper in an open court.
