Air India to operate all-women flight

National carrier Air India will create history by operating an all-women operated and supported flight on Sunday to commemorate International Women’s Day. The flight, AI 173, would be operating on the world’s longest air route, between Delhi and San Francisco. The non-stop flight will cover a distance of about 12,300 km, and will depart from Delhi at 0235 hours and land at San Francisco 0600 hours. It will be commanded by Captain Kshamta Bajpayee and Captain Shubhangi Singh along with First Officers Captain Ramya Kirti Gupta and Captain Amrit Namdhari.
