Jammu is on high alert

Jammu has been put on high alert after the recent case of temple desecration coupled with intelligence inputs that terrorists may sneak in and carry out a sensational attack. The Army has been alerted and additional troops have been deployed on the Jammu-Udhampur highway. The Army is also sanitising the Northern Command area of Udhampur. The government, meanwhile, discussed the various measures taken by the Army and the security forces, especially along the International Border. The J&K government has also banned all private air-borne activity in Jammu including paragliding, para-jumping and hoisting of air balloons within the radius of one kilometer of any defence and security installations.
