Mehbooba accuses Farooq of encouraging separatism

Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has accused Farooq Abdullah and his National Conference for being involved in the current Kashmir unrest after the NC patron said he will always support Hurriyat for their movement of “Azadi”. She blamed Abdullah for stoking separatism in Kashmir.

Farooq Abdullah while addressing his party workers and leaders to commemorate the 111th birth anniversary of his father on Monday had said that he was supportive for the demand of right to self-determination by the Hurriyat. The BJP too has comedown heavily on Farooq Abdullah and the local spokesman of the party in Kashmir has asked the police to book him for anti-national activities. State BJP spokesman Virender Gupta told The Sunday Guardian that Farooq Abdullah has proved with his statement that he was behind the unrest launched by Pakistan and the separatists.
