Alok Mehta Presents Own Book to PM Modi

Alok Mehta presents his book on PM Modi’s 25-year journey, discussing governance, nation-building, and promoting youth reading habits.

NEW DELHI: Eminent editor, author and editorial director of the ITV Network, Alok Mehta, a Padma Shri awardee, presented a copy of his latest book “Revolutionary Raj: Narendra Modi’s 25 Years” to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Published by Shubhi Publications, the coffee-table book offers a comprehensive account of Prime Minister Modi’s 25 years in public life.

It traces his political and administrative journey from his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat to his leadership as Prime Minister of India, highlighting key governance reforms, administrative innovations and major welfare initiatives undertaken during this period.

During their interaction, Mehta and the Prime Minister discussed India’s future development trajectory, the importance of ground-level experience in governance, and evolving public expectations from the government. Prime Minister Modi underlined the need to promote books and libraries, stressing that children must be encouraged to develop strong reading habits from an early age.

The Prime Minister also emphasised the importance of involving students in NCC-like training programmes to instil self-discipline, civic responsibility and a strong sense of nationalism.

Later, Prime Minister Modi also acknowledged the interaction in a post on X, referring to the discussion on governance, nation-building and the importance of cultivating a reading culture among the youth. The PM wrote: “Glad to have met Shri Alok Mehta @alokmehtaeditor and received a copy of his work”. Mehta was accompanied by Sanjay Arya, publisher, Shubhi Publications.
