Local youths of Tinsukia detained 44 suspected people in Tinsukia Railway station on Monday morning.
According to reports, the 44 suspected people were from Jammu and Kashmir and they have come here under a contractor.
"We nabbed 44 suspected people in Tinsukia Railway station when they were roaming. When we asked them they said that they were from Jammu and Kashmir and come here for work. A contractor named Kadhim Ali brought them for a work in Arunachal Pradesh," said local youth of Tinsukia.
He said, "We have informed RPF and GRP. We don't from where they have come but we have found them suspicious in nature. Many incidents are happening in India. The Delhi bomb blast is one of the example where Doctors from Kashmir were involved in the blast,".
"We have come for work on transmission line. We are wage paid worker and come here for four month work. We will do digging for electric tower work in Arunachal Pradesh. We don't know anything but contractor Kadhim Ali brought us for work," said Bashir Ahmed.
He said, "Most of us are from Doda and Kishtwar districts of Jammu and Kashmir. We have come from train and landed here today,".
The verification of the people has not done yet.
After the crackdown of illegal Bangladeshi's in Assam, many suspected people were caught from different areas of Assam.
Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has already cautioned about the illegal migrants are the threat for the national security of the country.
