BJP banks on PM-RSS synergy for Bihar polls

Haryana-style playbook guides NDA’s Bihar push with Modi as central face.

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party has started implementing the strategy of Haryana for Bihar elections as well. RSS is helping in this completely. If sources are to be believed, RSS has deployed a large number of its workers in Bihar. Meticulous work is being done on every seat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the face of NDA. After the abuse of Prime Minister Modi’s mother in the voter rights tour by the leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, the PM himself has become the face of NDA. On the other hand, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has once again gone abroad during the elections to get rid of the fatigue of Bihar tour. It is expected that he will probably participate in the vice president elections. After that Congress will formulate its strategy. However, Congress is not saying anything about Rahul’s foreign tour.

On the other hand, BJP and JDU are busy in finalising their strategy. As per the indications, BJP and JDU will fight the election with PM Modi at the centre. PM Modi is again going to Bihar on 15 September and he will make one or two more visits till the announcement of the election. The announcement of the election may be made at the end of this month. This time too, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be the chief election strategist of BJP. Shah has taken the command in his hands and has also started working. Shah has given the green signal to the formula of ticket distribution. Both the big parties — JDU can contest on 103 seats and BJP on 102 seats. The remaining seats will be given to smaller parties. Elections are to be held on 243 seats in Bihar.

The Bihar election has become as important for the BJP as the Haryana election. The victory in Haryana not only gave more strength to Prime Minister Modi but also boosted the morale of the BJP. After the weak performance in the general elections of 2024, the victory in Haryana was very important for the BJP. Because the opposition led by the Congress remained aggressive. After the defeat in Haryana, the opposition weakened and the defeat in Maharashtra and Delhi also caused a split in the opposition. The Sangh played a major role in the elections of Haryana and the states held after it. Whatever the relationship between the Sangh and the BJP, both fight unitedly in the matter of elections.

Now the Bihar election has also become important for the BJP because the opposition will once again unite and try to win. There is no doubt that the election results of Bihar will definitely have an impact on the politics of the Centre. If the opposition led by the Congress wins, then the difficulties of the BJP will increase in the elections to be held next year. If the BJP and JDU alliance form the government again in Bihar, then the crisis of existence on the Congress will increase again.

Because next year, states like Kerala, West Bengal, Assam and Tamil Nadu will be in trouble. Elections are to be held in states. After the defeat in Bihar, it will be difficult for Congress to win in Kerala and Assam.
