New Delhi: With the Bihar Assembly elections drawing closer, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has stepped up its preparations, unveiling a comprehensive roadmap that ranges from strengthening booth-level presence to overseeing state-wide campaign coordination. The 243-member Bihar Legislative Assembly is expected to go to polls between mid-October and November, and the party has already put its organizational machinery into high gear.

The BJP’s central leader ship has brought in Organization General Secretaries from six states—Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Manipur, Telangana, and Uttarakhand—to take charge of election operations in Bihar. These seasoned leaders have been allocated responsibilities across five carefully demarcated zones of the state, effectively positioning them as regional in-charges for the duration of the campaign.

According to party insiders, this division of Bihar into five zones has been designed to sharpen focus and ensure closer monitoring of every region. Two of the General Secretaries have been specifically deployed in the Seemanchal and Kosi belts, which are considered politically crucial because of their unique caste equations and high voter participation. The other four General Secretaries have been dis patched to different regions of Bihar, covering constituencies where the BJP hopes not only to consolidate its existing support but also to make fresh electoral gains.

Their mandate, however, is not limited to overseeing campaign logistics. They are also responsible for driving booth-level management, activating and sustaining local party units, and monitoring the strategies of rival parties.
