BJP will win all seven seats in Delhi: Sachdeva

I.N.D.I. Alliance has no future in Delhi, says Delhi BJP chief.

Delhi unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), under the leadership of Virendra Sachdeva, is confident of repeating its last poll performance in coming Lok Sabha elections, which are likely to be held in April-May. Talking to The Sunday Guardian, Delhi BJP chief talked about ongoing preparations his party is making for the general elections and confidently said that BJP will emerge victorious on all the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi as it did in the previous two elections in 2014 and 2019.

Q: How is Delhi BJP preparing for 2024 Lok Sabha elections?
A: We are preparing for upcoming Lok Sabha elections with full strength. As BJP has a huge organisation in Delhi, we have workers at every booth and we have also formed booth-level units, and physical verification has also been done by the organisation. Our workers will go door to door in Delhi and spread awareness about the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP government at the centre. We will also expose corruption in Arvind Kejriwal led AAP government, which has worked to deceive the people of Delhi.

Q: How will Modi’s guarantee benefit Delhi BJP in coming Lok Sabha elections?
A: ‘Modi hai to mumkin hai’ as Modi’s guarantee means guarantee of completion. Where there is Modi, there is faith. Where there is Modi, there is development. Where there is Modi, there is support for everyone. This is the biggest guarantee, and we know that Delhi’s people will salute PM Modi’s leadership along with the country, and Delhi’s people will win seven seats, making him the prime minister for the third time in a row.

Q: What is the agenda of BJP in Delhi?
A: We only have a single agenda, i.e., the work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his development. In the last 10 years, the Prime Minister’s fame, power, and popularity have been acknowledged by the people of our country as well as the entire world. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our central government has done many development works, such as the Pargati Bajan Tunnel, Kartavya Path, Pradhan Muntri Museum, the highways, the UR2 of Dwarka, the periphery expressways, and also work to tackle pollution in Delhi.

Q: How will BJP tackle I.N.D.I. Alliance in Delhi?
A: The I.N.D.I. Alliance has no future in Delhi because both Congress and Aam Adami party are drowning in quagmire of corruption. Arvind Kejriwal used to abuse Sheila Dikshit, now if he is defecting to Congress. The people of Delhi would have known that this was a defeated alliance, and even their workers in Delhi did not like each other. This corrupt coalition will not last in Delhi. They are not a challenge for us, and we will win all seven seats in Delhi, as we did in the 2014 and 2019 elections.

Q: Arvinder Singh Lovely, in an interview with The Sunday Guardian, said that the BJP will not be able to repeat its 2019 performance in Delhi. What’s your reaction to that?
A: Arvinder Singh Lovely should worry about his Congress. From where does his counting start? As his party no MLAs or MPs in Delhi, and gradually their number is also coming down in other parts, he should focus on that and stop worrying about Bharatiya Janata Party. BJP will once again win upcoming Loksabha election with a greater margin than in 2019.
