BJP’s Manoj Tiwari seems confident of a hat-trick win

Ex-Delhi BJP chief, Manoj Tiwari is the only Delhi MP who has been re-fielded by BJP.

BJP’s Manoj Tiwari seems confident during his ongoing electioneering of his hat-trick victory from north-east Delhi Lok Sabha seat. He is the only incumbent Delhi MP who has been re-fielded by BJP for the 2024 parliamentary elections.

Former Delhi BJP president, Manoj Tiwari recently kick-started his campaign whereby he is simultaneously focusing on attracting voters for the party for next year’s state assembly elections. “Aam Aadmi Party is creating problems and then blaming me in an attempt to tarnish my image,” he said during the campaign.

Born in UP’s Varanasi, Tiwari is currently serving his second term as an MP from north-east Delhi seat. He is one of the most popular candidates among the voters as the north-east constituency has large chunks of voters from ‘Purvanchal’ of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Early this week, Tiwari heard the views of nearly 300 members and representatives from 80 Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), who raised several issues plaguing the constituency which include water scarcity, road maintenance, electricity woes and lack of street lights. Tiwari listened to them carefully and gave assurances to resolve all the issues as soon as he got re-elected as a member of parliament.

Furthermore, Manoj Tiwari slammed Aam Aadmi Party for creating hurdles for solving these problems and not doing their work properly. Tiwari further claimed the new-found challenges being faced by residents were due to a “conspiracy” by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). “Why has a new rule to get an NOC been introduced during elections when people have been getting connections all this while? It is the AAP’s conspiracy to show the MP in a bad light. They are creating problems and then blaming me in an attempt to tarnish my image,” Tiwari said during his campaign.

Further, he assured them that he would rectify the situation within 100 days of his re-election. He also promised that high mast streetlights will also be installed. However, he admitted that many other issues could not be fixed by him. “I cannot promise to solve issues of dirty water, bumpy roads, drain blockages, and flooding of colonies even if I am elected, because if I do, then I would be lying,” said Tiwari during the campaign.

During campaign, he also focused on the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections. The MP painted a picture of the transformation awaiting Delhi under BJP. “We cannot promise immediate solutions to every challenge. But come 2025, when you elect us to power, we will bring in a new era of development, ensuring that every corner of Delhi will experience a profound transformation.”

Further, during his campaign, he looked confident enough to win the polls for the third time in a row. He also chants slogans along with BJP workers: ‘Abki baar 400 paar’ and ‘fir ek baar Modi sarkar’.
