New Delhi: Amid power tussle in Karnataka over the rotational chief minister formula, Congress has decided to hold a big meeting to sort out the issue in Delhi on November 29, sources said on Thursday.

According to Congress sources, the party chief Mallikarjun Kharge has called the meeting with Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and several other top leaders to discuss Karnataka political crisis.

The sources indicated that Congress president has now decided to sort out the power tussle in Karnataka where Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his deputy DK Shivakumar are at loggerheads over the reported rotational chief minister formula.

It is worth to mention that the Congress Karnataka Government completed two and half years in office on November 20.

Earlier in the day, Kharge, who was on visit to Bengaluru told the media said that he will have a discussion with all the stakeholders including the Chief Minister, his deputy and also with Rahul Gandhi.

He said, “I will call everyone and have a discussion. Rahul Gandhi will also remain present in that discussion. Other members will also remain present. The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister will also remain present.”

“The decision will be made after a discussion with all of these. There is a team. I am not alone. The entire high command team will discuss and make a decision…” Kharge, who is also the Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha said.

The political crisis in Karnataka erupted over the planned cabinet reshuffling.

The Daily Guardian was first to report the upcoming cabinet reshuffling in Karnataka under Kamraj model and change in Chief Ministerial face

However, some of the Shivakumar loyalist MLAs then arrived in the national capital to back him for the chief ministerial post.

Amid the power tussle the Congress has decided to hold the crucial meeting and then share the updates of the same with Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi.

The sources claimed that following a detailed discussion, the party leadership will summon Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar to Delhi in December first week.
