A shocking image is currently exploding across X and Facebook. It shows Indian Congress leader Rahul Gandhi sitting closely with the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. In the digital age, seeing is no longer believing. This “bombshell” photo has sparked intense debates and political mudslinging online. However, a deep dive into the pixels reveals a much different story than the one trolls are telling.

Rahul Gandhi’s Photo with Jeffrey Epstein?

The image appears to show the two men in a casual setting. One of them is Jeffrey Epstein, and another one, whose eyes were censored, claimed to be Rahul Gandhi. Some users claim this proves a secret connection between Rahul Gandhi and the infamous Epstein files. But does this photo hold up under scrutiny?

Fact-Check: Rahul Gandhi Jeffrey Epstein photo Fake or Real?

The very short answer to this question is: it is fake. Fact-checkers and digital forensic experts analyzed the image. They found clear signs of manipulation. The lighting on Rahul Gandhi’s face does not match the ambient light of the room. Furthermore, original photographs of Rahul Gandhi from completely unrelated public events were used to “morph” his likeness into the frame.

While asking on Grok on X (formerly Twitter), we got this reply that “Multiple fact-checks (e.g., from Yahoo, France24, and Wired) confirm it’s AI-generated, with inconsistencies like disproportionate features and shadows.”

This is not a real meeting. It is a digital fabrication designed to mislead the public during the sensitive 2025 political climate.

Indians whose names are included in Epstein’s files?

While the Rahul Gandhi photo is fake, the “Epstein Files” released under the 2025 Transparency Act do mention specific Indian figures. However, a name in the file does not equal a crime. Most references involve business meetings or attempts by Epstein to gain access to Indian leaders.

Documents and leaked emails show Epstein mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi, billionaire Anil Ambani, and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. The files suggest Epstein tried to arrange meetings between Steve Bannon and PM Modi in 2019. Reports also mention scheduled appointments with Hardeep Singh Puri between 2014 and 2017. Analysts clarify that Epstein often “name-dropped” powerful people to increase his own prestige. No evidence links these Indian individuals to Epstein’s illegal activities.

Photos to DeepFakes: Rise of AI-Generated Fake News

In 2025, artificial intelligence makes it incredibly easy to create “deepfakes.” We have recently seen similar AI-generated photos of Rahul Gandhi allegedly attending high-profile global weddings. These images serve as tools for misinformation.

Experts warn that these fake photos target high-profile leaders to tarnish their reputations. “Merely to make mention of the name in the Epstein file does not implicate an individual,” notes a legal briefing. Yet, fake photos take it a step further by inventing physical proximity where none existed.

Have the Epstein Files mentioned Rahul Gandhi?

Many people are searching for the “Rahul Gandhi Epstein list” to find the truth. The official release of the documents contains thousands of pages. It mentions various world leaders and celebrities. However, Rahul Gandhi’s name does not appear anywhere in these documents.

The viral photo is a desperate attempt to link him to the scandal through visual trickery. Most of these “leaked” images use simple face-swapping software.
