NewsFM’s Bahi Khata gives wings to boost Bharat’s aviation growth

New Delhi: India’s fastest growing economy will have a major expansion of smaller airports and development of airports in hilly region, giving the aviation sector a major thrust to take off for greater heights.

Indian skies will witness connectivity with smaller airports numbering 120 in the next 10 years, as announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman while presenting the budget of Modi 3.0 for 2025-26 in the Lok Sabha.

Aviation is the fastest growing sector in India, with air passengers’ number having touched record highs in the year 2024. The development of international Jewar and New Mumbai airports to world standards with latest state of the art facilities will be open for public in the coming months. The development and expansion of smaller airports and building of airport infra in hilly regions will bring the viability of air connectivity between smaller cities.

With such a vision of the Narendra Modi government for aviation, the requirement of smaller aircraft will suddenly increase to cater to the demand of flyers from remote and smaller regions. The Udan scheme has been a major success.

India’s largest air passenger carrier, with 64% share of the Indian skies, Indigo has already placed an order for 450-plus aircraft, followed by Air India, thus adding wings to India’s development.
While making an announcement on the aviation sector, the Finance Minister thoughtfully kept Bihar Assembly elections as the priority by declaring Patna as greenfield airport and adding the rest of Bihar on the aviation development map.

There is overall happiness for this budget having focused on agriculture, MSME, investments and export. The budget is focused on Viksit Bharat and is going to enhance GDP growth.

The best part was kept for the last. If a person is earning Rs 12 lakh and he files tax in the new tax regime, he will not have to pay any tax. The country is cheering.
